Ordination & Consecration
A Sacred Process of Spiritual Preparation
The AFMA Ordination Process
AFMA has established a formal six-step Consecration and Ordination Process to ensure that every candidate is spiritually and ethically prepared for ministry. This process is grounded in 1 Timothy 5:22, emphasising careful discernment in ministerial appointments.
Six Steps to Ordination
1. Submit Your Ministerial CV
Provide a detailed curriculum vitae outlining your background, ministry journey, education, training, and spiritual calling.
2. Provide Recommendation Letters
Submit 2–3 letters from established ministers or spiritual leaders who have known you for at least two years.
3. Complete Application & Pay Fees
Fill out the official AFMA Application Form and submit the applicable ordination or consecration fees.
4. Prayer & Confirmation Period
Enter a minimum 3-month observation period during which AFMA leadership will assess your integrity, character, and ministerial consistency.
5. Schedule Your Service
Upon successful completion of the observation period, AFMA will schedule an official Consecration or Ordination Service.
6. Laying on of Hands & Licensing
The process concludes with a solemn service featuring prayer, the laying on of hands by AFMA leadership, and the issuance of your official licence and ordination certificate.
“Do not be hasty in the laying on of hands, and do not share in the sins of others. Keep yourself pure.” — 1 Timothy 5:22 (NIV)

Apostolic Authority Declaration
At every ordination, licensing service, and leadership consecration, the following declaration is read:
AFMA recognises the Bible as the inspired, infallible, and authoritative Word of God. Jesus Christ is the Head of the Church and the ultimate authority. All AFMA-ordained ministers must preach sound doctrine, maintain integrity and holiness, represent Christ honourably, serve with humility and love, and advance God’s Kingdom through evangelism and discipleship.
Ordination signifies spiritual recognition, public affirmation, and apostolic commissioning. Ministers remain accountable to God, Scripture, and AFMA.
Issued under the apostolic authority of Bishop Abel Kungu Snr., President & Apostolic Leader of AFMA.
